Anti-aging secrets maintain skin youth

Wrinkles are considered part of aging – Anti-aging Secrets

Scientists have revealed how to maintain your skin’s youth – and that’s without adding any chemicals.

A new research from McMaster University (Ontario) discovered that exercise could keep skin younger, and it may also reverse skin aging in people who are keeping active. Based on Maureen Hagan (physical therapist and fitness expert) – “Fitness is a youth serum”. Not only exercising regularly will keep you younger but you will have more energy and you will be able to do more of the things you love. “Fitness affects how youthful you look, the way you move, and your ability to do whatever you want, whenever.”

Based on earlier studies at McMaster that examined the effect of exercise on mice that were bred to age prematurely – they split the mice into two groups and provided on group with exercise wheels. They observed that the mice who were sedentary grew ill, frail, bald or greying rapidly, on the other side, those who had a running wheels maintained healthy brains, hearts, muscles and reproductive organs.

When the researchers turned they attention to people, conducting a similar test on volunteers ages 20 to 84, the study found that after age 40, both men and women who exercised frequently had visibly younger looking skin, closer in composition to that of the 20 and 30 year olds.

Also, researchers reckons that these improvement in skin appearance could also be down to other factors (such as genes, diet, and general lifestyle).

Having this in mind, researchers conducted another test on sedentary volunteers over the age of 65. They had to engage in two sessions of exercise each week for three months (jogging, cycling at a moderate pace for 30 minutes). At the end of that time, the researchers analysed the volunteers’ skin and compared it to their original results – pretty remarkable results – with outer and inner layers of skin now looking very similar to those of 20- to 40-year-olds.

Under a microscope, the skin “looked like that of a much younger person, and all that they had done differently was exercise.” – Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky, a professor of pediatrics and exercise science at McMaster who oversaw the study.

Even though is not completely clear how exercises changes skin composition, the scientists found greatly augmented levels of a myokine called IL-15 in the skin samples of volunteers after exercise. This could explain the skin’s youthful appearance.

That’s great! Aerobic exercise promotes blood flow to skin and that supports an increase in new cell growth and production of natural oils and moisture – according to Hendrix College in Conway, Arizona, Health Service Department.

Doing regular anti-aging exercises

Aerobic exercises help your skin remain supple, flexible and it could prevent wrinkle formation. However, repetitive facial exercises may actually  develop fine lines and wrinkles – according to Health Services Department.

A regular use of wrinkle creams (and based on the active ingredients found in them) may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Probably the best and most permanent way to help treat and prevent wrinkles is by using wrinkle creams in conjunction with exercise and a healthy diet. The use of wrinkle creams may replenish lost moisture and boost collagen production in your skin.

You must be consistent with your exercise program and the same goes for the wrinkle cream – even if you are using the best cream for wrinkle it won’t work unless you stick up to a beauty routine.

A wrinkle cream should include ingredients that offer antioxidant protection that will support the delay onset of noticeable skin aging. Also, it should be able to renew skin, hydrate, moisturize and rejuvenate skin. A wrinkle cream should improve the texture and appearance of the skin by offering the anti-aging benefit and the hydrating agents should create firm and smooth skin.

The dermatologist recommendation for a healthier, vibrant and younger looking skin:

  • Adequate daily rest
  • Avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol intake, as it may contribute to dehydration and it may exacerbate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Stay well hydrated – drink at least 8 glasses of water
  • Consistently apply the product you choose following its directions for use
  • Don not forget to pay attention to your neck and hands – these areas reflect your age

Based on studies, exercise and wrinkle cream could prevent wrinkles and could maintain younger-looking skin!
